TS Mac has a content manager. It doesn't have the ability to save CDPs. As far as fixing older content, you can edit them, you lose the PEV tools though. As far a buggier than the Windows version, I find the Mac version runs better and with less bugs than TS12. If I had the option to turn AA and shadows off, it would run better than TS12 through bootcamp on my hardware. As it stands, I get the same basic framerate between the two with the above options turned off in TS12.*
I run TS Mac on a Macbook Pro 17", 2.16 Core Duo with 2 GB Ram and x1600 256 MB video card. (One of the first Intel Macs) I get acceptable framerates on my routes (I don't download other's). If I could turn off shadows, I would be very happy with it. I do run it in windowed mode at 1280 by 800, all sliders set to normal and draw distance at 3000.*
Even though I find it better than TS12, I'm still using TRS06 mostly. Full screen, all sliders maxed and no hicups even with five trains in the scene. Yes, I know I need a computer upgrade, this one is five years old. See no reason to when newer versions of Trainz is the only program I have it stumbles with. I can fix that by running an older one that does work.
