Someone make a video please, does the p42 have custom sounds and/or custom interior?

To mp5a4 and dnutter

It's not a p42, but an P32AC-DM, the special dual mode (3rd rail electric and diesel power) locos used by Amtrak and MetroNorth/MTA to get in and out of Grand Central to get around the "no diesels in GCT" rule. Not that they always follow it as the diesel motor is usually left running even while in the terminal and departing, though they are on electric power.

The P32 uses my GE 7FDL soundpack, with custom horn (Airchime K5LA) and has one of these too:

First prize will go to the person who can find the horn "button" ;) and yes dnutter, flashing ditch lights are available, plus the ability to dim the headlight too.

No, not the red button... I just wish guys would stop stuffing train orders between the gaps in the desks...

Here's a bit of older stuff, a Pullman ACMU departs while a Seldomly Powered Vehicle :p arrives:

Now Tony, you need to do it like the automated anouncements:

"This is the train to [Southeast], now arriving at [White Plains], the next stop is [North White Plains]"

Something like this?

BTW, does the M7 have realistic sounds?

Like these videos below?

That's certainly where it is now on the real ones, but this was "as-delivered" well, at least as far as I was able to tell from the pics and the info I picked up on the web. It was in a far less accessible "hand" position one might say.

Cheers
Tony
Is it by chance a foot pedal/switch for the horn?

A few more from "Trainz 2004" as you put it Gregory!

There are a couple more fancy bits in TC compared to 2004 and 2006, though the graphics engine is the same. Sounds are better, CMP is better, and it comes with a couple of nice routes to boot...

A Pullman ACMU arrives at Tuckahoe. We quickly climb the road bridge to get another shot:
