L leeferr thanks for the memories Apr 3, 2011 #3 I'm not familiar with GSUP8. What 3d program is that and what file format are you trying to import? Mike

L leeferr thanks for the memories Apr 3, 2011 #5 I seem to have read somewhere that some members have found a way to get sketch up files into gmax, but I don't know how they're doing it. I thnk Klinger was doing some sketchup work, so you might ask him. Mike

N n8phu Purveyor of the Forgotten Apr 3, 2011 #6 Well, since you have the pro version, it can already export as a .3ds file, so export your work as a .3ds file. Open GMAX and import the 3ds file. So: 1: Export as 3ds 2: Import as 3ds 3: ? 4: ? 5: Profit. Simple, yes?

N n8phu Purveyor of the Forgotten Apr 3, 2011 #8 I would then say try importing it into gmax without starting the game pack and see what happens. Also, I seem to recall that the 3ds format for gmax cant have more than a certain amount of polys.... 30K I think....I will have to think on this one.
