Trainz 2019 keeps crashing every time I click "Start Trainz"

But can I make the data go to an external drive because my laptop has a problem with storage
NO its not Recommended to do that either because the Data Folder for Trainz is how the game runs and putting it on an external hard Drive will cause it to Crash and also running the game on the laptop is not good either... I would Build a Desktop Computer Custom made to run the game.... the Devs have come out and said NOT to run the game on a laptop even if its a gaming one because of the hardware that is on the laptops as its not made for running a Graphics heavy and CPU heavy Game like trainz.

Also, I don’t have the build folders for some reason, but it might be because I have all of my Trainz data go to an external hard drive, I don’t know.
Everyone has a 'Build xxxxxxxxx' folder! Where the xxxxxxxxx's are this is a unique code as this isn't the same for all users.

I use TANE, TRS19 and TRS22 all on a gaming laptop and runs perfectly fine.

some laptops that are considered to be GAMING READY are Not Built for Gaming.. Been in the industry for 20 years so i know a thing or two about gaming laptops and PC's.. Oh did i mention i have built 4 gaming PC's by my self in the last 4 years alone for others that play the game........... Started gaming when i was 12 years old and have been building routes for the last decade and a half on a Custom gaming Desktop PC..

Ah! I totally misunderstood. I got what you are saying now ;)

What am I missing here? I have been running both T:ANE and TRS19 with the build folders on external drives for years with no problems. It probably doesn't have the performance of an internal HDD or SSD, but they have always run fine.

Before we continue going in circles on this, what are the specs of your laptop?

CPU
RAM (memory not disk space)
HD space - both internal and external
Network
Windows version
Graphics card - built-in Intel, NVidia, or AMD.

By telling us this information, we may be able to help you. If your graphics card isn't up to snuff, that could be a major factor in this issue.
