trainz 2010

Hello i just got tranz 2010 for christmas and i installed it and everything else on my pc is fine but the game is running very slow.
is there ny thing i can do to fix this problem???

Make sure you have the latest patches installed, what is the Trainz build you have (shown on the first screen)

Couple of things you can try for starters:

Switch from Open GL to DirectX (or vice versa).
Move the performance sliders to lower settings.

These are changed under "Options" (but from different Options selections in different parts of the game!!!). Can't remember where exactly, and I can't access Trainz at the moment to check!

if u are able to acess it could u tell me where they are so i can hopefully fix this issue

When you open 2010 you have the options of visiting the "options screen", then look for display on the above tabs. That will get you the general Directx/openGL choice.

Start Trainz, and from the first screen you will see OPTIONS

Click on that, it will give you options under DISPLAY SETTINGS fr the Dirct etc
F th othr options, start Trainz, then when the main MENU screen cmes up, click on OPTIONS (top right Main Menu) and Video Settings

Move the sliders to te LEFT

About the sliders, the most important are for draw distance.
