Trainz 2010 only 4 routes

Hi everybody,

Last Friday I bought Trainz 2010. It installed without problems however I have only 4 routes from which 3 are demos.

Also the program crashes when quitting on Vista.

On the website there where more routes and drive sessions available.

Can you tell me what is wrong or what I have to do to get the other routes?

I also have Gabbon city which never could be installed on the former versions. It damaged the installation and assets where removed or missing.

Can you tell me if I can install Gabbon city?

I have Trainz Simulator 2010 ENgineers edition.

Thank you very much for your help.

Have a nice day.

Friendly greetings,

According to postings on this forum you need to click a gold star and disable favourites, then vastly more items appear.

Let's hope Auran fix this design blunder in a later service pack, I'm getting fed up having to keep telling people about it :)

Hi Bad_Wolf

In Surveyor you will see a gold star just above the list of routes. Click on it and it should then show all of the routes. It is a filter which is switched on by default. I can't help with Gabbon City though.

a answer to a Q...

Boy just asked this Q in another thread...will have to see if it does the trick...

Also the program crashes when quitting on Vista.

I hate to say it but maybe disabling UAC completely will do the trick.

Also, be sure you downloaded and installed SP1 for Trainz 2010 EE.

You also would want to add c:\Program Files\Auran directory to your antivirus exceptions.

I run it on Vista x64 and never had experienced any problems.

Also the program crashes when quitting on Vista.

Never had Trainz crash on quitting, but I did have a couple of other programs do so (or Vista claimed they did). One was Out of the Park Baseball, which wouldn't run at all unless I right-clicked and chose "Run as Administrator", but on quitting Vista would report that it had stopped working.

This happened for several weeks, but hasn't happened now for several months. I don't even have to run OOTP as an admin, so it looks like Vista logs how a program interacts, and once it sees it exits the same way every time, it no longer deems it as a problem. OOTP ran and quit fine otherwise, though, so you can likely ignore that message. As long as you've saved any routes or sessions that have changed, you shouldn't have any trouble, and with luck and time that message will go away.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you all very much for posting and helping me out.

Indeed pushing that yellow star did the trick! Great, works now smoothly!

Your support is highly appreciated.

Have a nice day!
