I have been in to sims for years and developed for various flight sims.Trainz in general in the most inconsistent simulation program ,I have ever come across.the inconsistencies are to numerous to mention, My Brother and I have copies of trainz 2010 and 2012 and are running the Same OS but we get different results When creating or importing assets One will work on my computer and the Very SAME asset wont work on his computer. On the DLS his will say an asset is up to date and the very SAME asset on mine will say it is obsolete.,please conceder we both have the VERY SAME Trainz Build number. What give NV3 games? Then when you have an issue and post it in the forum,,9 chances out of 10 No one will know or they say "work around it"Shane is the only one here that has a freaking clue.As with a product that is advertised,it should Work, with NO EXCUSES.This is what has really ticked me off about TRAINZ by NV3 Games. At this point I would not recommend Trainz to a budding Sim enthusiast.

Things can be very complex when it comes to dealing with obsolete/out of date assets, but most of the time a forum post usually gets the answers required.

A small correction though - it's N3V Games, not NV3 Games, and they normally read forum entries more than blog posts.

This is just an unfocussed rant. How is anybody supposed to help unless you post specific examples? You are aware that CMP downloads an index file of DLS content periodically; and that the timing of this will be different between PCs? In any case, I bet there ARE differences betweeen your set-ups that YOU haven't noticed. You also don't seem to know what a blog is.
