trainz 2009 train bogey problem

Subways and railroads
I dont know why but ive been recently seeing my bogey's disappear when i go into driver mode, and the whenever the train is driving at its speed limit it keeps on sticking going down to 0 MPH. the game doesn't stick only the trains does. everything else is moving fine but the train keeps on sticking.

Hi jamal,

Are you using steam loco's when it happens or diesels?
If it's Steam loco's, in TS09+ they have different physics than the older versions and can cause the bogies to disapear and the loco not move, if it's diesel then no idea, never seen a diesel do that.

im using subway cars, let me just say that to just to make it clear. is there a way to fix this problem?

Hi Jamal,

This may not be the same problem as you, it is definitly similar however! When i first received my 2009, I would be able to run for minute or two and then all the bogeys under a train would disappear and the train would come to stop. For me the problem was three fold!

1st i had bad ram and once replaced the problem for the most part went away but after a while it would happen from time to time which led to the next issue I was having:

2nd - Video card! I was running with an Nvidia "build-in" video card which shared memory and when ever I had a scene with too much in it, the bogeys would disappear and the train would actually give the derailment exclaimation mark! Upgrading to an Nvidia 250gts solved the problem - more or less

3rd - Upgrading 2009 to the latest service patch sp3 (prior to 44653 that is) solved the final issue and I never saw the problem again!

Sadly, the whole darn thing died during my move and now the machine I have won't run anything but oh well! Do give your ram a thorough work out (I forget the name of the program I used) with testing software from the web. Also ensure you have the latest video drivers and finally the latest patch (at least to SP3).

Wishing you the best

Bricey

o7 all,

I downloaded them and checked it out, had a few small errors such as att slot 27 (a.pass37) was not in mesh, deleted them tags fixed it, the bogey was in pm format and used Pevs PMtoIM to convert it, then told cmp to make a trainz-build 2.9 config setup, after that works in native mode, ran it for a while on a massive route and no problems at all, there are also really nice looking cars.
