Trainz 2006 - XP Admin and users

Hi,

I just got Trainz 2006 and have installed it on an XP machine as the administrator. However user logins (who do not have administrator rights) cannot run the game. It gets worse as the game cannot be installed (like most games) by the users. I have not had this problem with any other serious game.

Has any one come across this issue and have a fix?
I am not keen to give the kids administrator rights to thier three PCs as it would become a maintenance nightmare for me!

This may work:

Temporarily make the kid's accounts into administrators, then install TRS2006, then make them back into users again.

I'm running TC3 under a user account without problems. I did raise its level to admin to do the install then dropped it again afterwards.

Trainz used to require a specific permission as it tried to save something in the registry each time but since TRS206 was modified to run under Vista this hasn't been a problem. There is an entry about it somewhere in the forum.

Hello

Delete assets.bku and assets.tdx files then CMP will re-build the assets database, it may take a while then all the assets will show in the DLS tab of CMP.
