Trainz 2006 on Windows 7 32 bit

I did nearly everything (run as admin, install as admin, low graphics, OpenGL, DirectX, Service Pack) and I still have the same error at start.

Launcher starts normally, but...

Game crashes with that message

When I click "Continue" I get this

Trainz stopped working
* Search solution online and close program
* Close program

I click second option and I get this:

I click "Continue and once again:

Trainz stopped working
* Search solution online and close program
* Close program

After clicking "Close program" game stops working.

Help quickly! I want to play Trainz!

I think you may need to reinstall - also, it may be worth running a disk check on your system.

Also, see if the same problem appears after clicking 'Manage Content' (or 'Content' - third icon down on the left on the Launcher screen)

Strange, when I go to "Manage Content" and click on "Launch Trainz" it works correctly!

OK - that makes things more interesting.

It sounds like an issue with the Launcher to me - unfortunately, the people that would be able to deal with such an issue probably will not do so, as Trainz 2006 is unsupported.

There is another possibility though - click Help, followed by About Content Manager Plus, and post the build number shown here.

If Trainz throws a Fatal Error, then you should always click the "Terminate" button, not the "Continue" button. A fatal error is just what it is: a fatal error. Clicking Continue will most likely get you no where.

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your video card... Your computer spec's might be the problem. Can you advise us of your computer spec's? Go to the TRS2006 directory, then Bin directory, the click on TrainDiag.exe and make sure you get all green ticked arrows !!!

Does your Polish version of 06 already have the 06 service pack installed ??? (I see it says 3.1 but I'm not to sure if it has 06 SP1 installed). I would assume it has. - You could try turning all the settings down in OPTIONS, then TUNING SETTINGS. (sliders to the left). Both fog sliders to the far right. Don't touch the Gramma settings. - Turn the in game resolution down and turn off shadows.

If that doesn't work, probably the simplest way to solve your problem is to upgrade to either 09, 010 or TS12 if you can afford too... (thats assuming you have a reasonable computer that will run either 09, 010 or TS12)...

You'll also be able to download from the DLS...

IMHO, 010 (& TS12) is a quantum leap forward over TRS2006 (especially CMP)...
