Why would someone joyride a train?!? I mean its harder than joyriding a car!!!!

Yes, it is an old topic and one Victorian's want to forget about as some of us found it hard to believe that he did such things around Vic for years, I even knew the guy as he was down at Newport Workshops allot in 2003/2005, he was also a Metro employer and also pleaded guilty in court.
On the contrary I'd argue that it's probably easier to joyride a train then a car. It might be harder to hotwire a train (I have no idea how one would do that) but once the engine is running, driving a train is very straight forward. You have a couple labled levers in front of you, and you're rolling. In a car I got 6+ different setups for shifting gears alone, 2-3 unlabeled pedals at my feet, a couple switches with knobs & buttons on the surrounding the steering wheel. And then to actually drive & move a car once you've figured it all out is actually pretty difficult; we don't think of it as difficult, as it's something the vast majority of us have been trained on how do do & do it regularly enough that it's second nature. But throw a kid who's never see a manual car behind the wheel of a manual car and the whole thing comes unraveled.
I've never driven a train or had any proper training, the most is a tutorial in World of Subways & a few mins on the London Underground simulator @ their museum. However I'm pretty confident that I could get into a train cab and get the thing moving pretty easily. And it's not 'cause I do it all the time in Trainz, I run Trainz in DCC mode 99.8% of the time.
