You can't touch any of those files, otherwise you'll corrupt your route.
To remove the track imported through the .kmz files into your route.
1) Content Manager.
Open Content Manager.
Right click on the route imported from TransDEM.
Choose List dependencies.
Sort your content by type by clicking on the column.
If you don't have the "type column", you can add that and all the others (recommended) by right-clicking on one of the columns and select the one you want from the list. By default, the column(s) you added will append. You can rearrange them just like moving columns in a spreadsheet.
Click on the track once you find it.
Click on the Content menu located at the top of the screen.
Click on Disable.
2) In Trainz Surveyor.
Open your route for editing in Surveyor.
Click on the Tools menu at the top.
Click on Delete missing assets.
Wait...
You'll see warnings and errors. The "errors" are is asset that's not found.
Save your route and not the session as you normally do.
Close Trainz back to the Launcher.
3) Back in Content Manager.
Click on the small arrow next to Filter.
Click on the + to the far right of True
Where it says Asset KUID, scroll that box and click on Enabled.
Change True to False.
Your disabled, or hidden track will be shown.
Click on the Content menu.
Click on Enable.
The track is now available for use another time but is removed from your route.
