Track Aligning (Curves and Strait Tracks)

Trainz has been aggravating me since I got it, mostly because of bad track aligning. I should have posted about this sooner, but I've been wondering how all of you experienced route builders make your tracks EXACTLY strait. I've tried almost everything, but can't get it. The tracks look especially bad on strait tracks that turn in a curve and go strait in another direction. Could someone tell me the secret ingredient? :udrool:

As always, any help appreciated!

Multi tracks, curve awful, and have "Swervies" where curves meet straights.

There are various track guides:

track alignment tool (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) (which are @ 5 m spacing)
PRR Track guide (which is @ 4m spacing)
MB_16m_finescale_quad_4m (which is @ 5m spacing)

When laying track, hit the "Straighten" button, and on curves leave them unstraightened

Where two elongated tracks intersect at an "X", on both tracks, draw a ruler back @ 200 foot. Place spline points at the two 200' ruler markings. delete the 2 excess overlaping "X" tracks, connect them with a curve.

On some curves, you will notice that the curve lead in, and curve lead out tracks, are much tighter radius than the curve. Here you will need to use: Curve Radius 750-1500m 30 degree, or several rulers radiating from a central radius point.
