TR2012 CDP help please.

This is my problem.
I have a copy of TR2012 bought through Steam. I was happily building my own layout using a lot of stuff I had downloaded from the Download Station after buying a First Class Ticket.
I started getting a few crashes so I did the file 'verify integrity of game cache' thingy and it told me I needed to re-up 5 files, which it automatically did. It now appears all the stuff I painstakingly downloaded is no longer available. I am hoping like hell that Steam hasn't deleted the files, but it's not looking good.
I understand how to use the import CPD option in Content Manager, but the thing is I can't seem to find any CPD files. I am pretty sure I didn't specify a location for the downloads, so I am wondering if I am looking in all the wrong plaes. Can anyone tell me where the default download location would be, in the slim hope they are still on my computer?
Many thanks.
Oh, and my layouts have gone since the re-up too.

I suggest you do a Extended Database Repair. You can find this option under Content (to start Content Manager (CM)), the go to File and there is it halfway down the list.

If you download stuff via CM, the content does not end up as CPD, so no need to look for that.

For Steam version specific complains, please contact Steam.
Keep in mind that Steam did not patch their version, so the latest bug fixes are not in place there.

Hi Oknotsen, and thank you for the swift and helpful reply.
Yes, I fully understand that the issue is not of Auran's making and I have no complaints towards them. In the interim I have realised that, as you say, that I was barking up the wrong tree as concerns CPD's. I think I have found the downloaded files in userdata/original and am currently installing using the 'install content' option. It is going to take some time but it is looking good. I'll keep you posted.
I was pretty sure that the files wouldn't have been deleted but I was having difficulty identifying them. I had downloaded tons of stuff. So fingers crossed.

The files in UserData/Original and Userdata/local are what is already installed sucessfully.

You should not need to import from these folders.

Hi Shane, Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I would have thought that too, but the fact is that after the file re=up from Steam rs2012 opened as if it was a new install, with all the default video settings and so on. The files I have previously got from the Download Station were not appearing either in Surveyor or Content Manager. Go figure as my American friends say. The good news is as the import is running the files are now appearing in the Content Manager and I am assuming they will therefore appear in Surveyor. Maybe Oknotsen's advice on using the database repair option would have been more correct, but I had started the import by the time I had read it. So hopeful all's well that ends well. And thank you all again for taking the time to read and reply to my posting.

When the files are already in the Userdata folder, a database repair is always the way to go when fixing issues like that.

Just watch out if it happens again, as the Steam client can do some weird things.

Dont know what others do but I always ftp the cdp and save it to an external drive.
That way you are guaranteed to always have it in a known place.
I will rename it, keeping the KUID number intact so I know what it actually is.
Prefix name + KUID number makes for long file names but thats ok :)

Thanks for that piece of advice, Peghorse, I'll take it on board (pardon the pun).
Everything is sorted now and looking good, and thank you all for your help and advice.
