Is there any way to make Town Plaza by colhad work in TS12? It has so many errors related to textures I'm about to give up. It appears red in the surveyor list and won't appear if I try to place it, even the thumbnail in the object list is blank. The description in the back pages said it was for TRS2004. That's the big problem with 12, it's so strict that some older objects will refuse to work, it's like Trainz broke things that worked before.

That model always had problems even with TS2009. I couldn't get it to work then either and finally gave up and deleted it. I could not get the textures or fix them in PEVs tools.
The new versions didn't break anything. All they have done is show the existing errors which were ignored before. The ignored errors actually caused the game to crash to the desktop as the program code tried to step over the errors. This also caused the major stuttering we used to see with TRS2004 and TRS2006.

Is it possible then, to replace that object in a route with a similar object that works? The object is like a mini strip mall, there are other strip malls out there that could be substituted. But how do you replace it if the object is invisible, and probably isn't showing up in the route? You can't use the replace asset tool in surveyor if the object isn't showing up in the route thus can't find it, can you? Or, can you drag the name of the object in the surveyor list over to the replace objects window even if the name is red? Would that work?
There's actually a fixed version of Town Plaza, and a similar building, Town Shops on the DLS but it's a different author, thus different item number. No errors. I would have to somehow replace the older version in the route with the new version. I noticed you made a strip mall, John. The route that has the faulty Town Plaza is the Morristown & Erie route.

I must have been able to fix that one locally because it shows up error-free in my TS2010. The only thing terribly wrong is the size - it's about 5 times too big. What was Colin thinking?
