TotR in Colorado?

TotR Veteran
So it's been a while since the last time I TotR'd throughout Californina and the West Coast (back in the UTC / TRS2004 days). I've since relocated to Colorado and wondering, given the increasing popularity of V-scale, if there are any new opportunities to get back out around here?

Hi Mike,
I guess you come talk to me. :)
What show are you interested in and what products do you want to demo?

Welcome!

Hi Chris.

I figured it was you but I thought I'd throw it our there just to be safe. ;)

So I've been out of the loop since before Henk left. At the time I was doing sometimes 2-3 shows a month up and down the West Coast. Mostly GATS shows (R.I.P.). But then I hit a wall about the same time my real job went away and I ended up here in Denver.

My interest was re-sparked when Tony announced TS2009 and TSX. So I've ordered TC3 (TRS2006 was a disaster for me) and have signed up to develop content for the upcoming releases.

I've look around a bit but have come up empty as far as shows go. I thought perhaps you might have some leads. I know there are shows that come around here. There are also a number of museums that might allow me to demo the products and then sell them in their gift shops.

I think I have everything I need to get started again. I even have some left over UTC and TRS2004 product. But I think the entire line, from UTC to TC3, offers the consumer several jumping-in points depending on their feature requirements and hardware specs. Trainz Collection is a particularly good value.

I guess my next step is to research the area shows a bit more and to contact some of the museums.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks.
Mike

Thanks Pencil42. Not sure if I'm ready to travel that far right out of the gate but it's definitely worth a look.

Thanks.
Mike

Check out Caboose Hobbies in Denver. They are up on all the local train shows
and would be helpful as a good resource for you. It's worth the trip to Caboose Hobbies if you haven't been there before, or recently.

Hey JimDep.

Thanks. That's a great thought. I was just there the other weekend for the first time. Took my 5 year old and had a blast. I need to revisit their website.

Thanks for the great idea!
Mike

Welcome aboard.

I jumped in when you jumped out I guess. :)
I mostly deal with Greenberg Shows.
Shows are fun, but honestly, they are a lot off work and I have had a hard time finding interested people.
Contact me directly and we can hash out some details, ok?

Great train expo in October (or sometimes in November) is a very big show. there use to be a trainz display, but that went away years ago. i took my PC out to the show a few times so kids could get the feeling of operating a train, but without a raildriver, I saw no point in keeping it up

Well as luck would have it I happen to have a RailDriver. So we may just have to get to that show! :D

Thanks for the info Klinger.
Mike
