TOPSIG iPortaling

I am currently making a Google Document that list the following: username, railroad, portal ID (as assigned by Jib), location of their MRL portal connection, what the person produces/consumes, and passenger capabilites.
Participants, please send me a PM with a complete* list of produced/consumed commodities and whether or not you are passenger capable. I will have Jib post the link in the OP so everybody can view it.

*This list should include every product you want to trade with others. When you list your products, I would prefer that they be spelled exact and even have 100% accurate casing(upper/lowercase). I will also need a KUID to list so others know what to configure their industries to load. Also let me know if you are passenger capable.

Also, keep in mind that the products we trade will have to be able to load by default into/onto cars that are in MRL. As such, I can already see that I have one product that may or may not get used. My 737 fuselages do not load onto cars that appear in MRL. Unless of course that every craft Jib has already slipped those cars in...

Well i don't know why we just can't put a CDP of our session in a teamspeak file brower so every one will have what each one has.
They just DL it from there and drag and drop into Content Manager Check for dependences DL them if need be then Delete the session.
We need to know what jib has on the MRL so we can diside what we need to sent to MRL.

It is my understanding that installing a Route/session from a CDP will show as "Locally Modified" in Content Manager and so will be unplayable in Multiplayer

And we all must remember that others will be joining us on the MRL, atleast I hope so, so its best if we continue as we are (Jib adding everting to the MRL). People are just going to download it off CM/DLS. I myself would prefer more people participate in the session because at the rate some of us are going we will be flooding the MRL with trains with no one but ourselves to drive them. Lets not get too far away from the idea of a simple multiplayer operation for ourselves and others to enjoy.

Ok, I was out of town for the weekend and with out a reliable way to post. My phone and the forums dont get along to well.

GN - Great idea, Ill be sure to send you what I need and produce. This will be helpful for yard crews making up locals, yard transfer's, and out bound trains.

Danny - Ill be sending MRL to the DLS some time Monday. As I said, I was out of town so no work got done to it since Thursday. But for content. I want all of you to go to Laurl yard, when the session is up, and use the consists tool to save the consists you see there. Laural yard has just about every thing on it. (With the exception of what got PMed to me over the weekend. But Ill be adding those before uploading.)

Others - While I dont like the idea of sending trains directly to each other, I dont mind if you guys do with the passenger trains. As I see it, your iPortal should act like a single piece of fixed track from one route to another. But these are just my thoughts and idea on the subject. BUT, in the chance that iPortals dont work the way we think they will in MP, as Danny has said that the host might be the only one too see the train, then I do have a back up plan for those wishing to presue a prototypical iPortal system.

GN - Have your airplane factory, I am the crafty little devil I did place those BNSF airplane flat cars for some time now.

If theres any thing I missed, bleh. I have some catching up to do after 3 days of no good computer....

Ok, so heres whats going on right now...as I type this... 3.0 and the op-session for it are being uploaded as we speak.

THIS HERE is a link to download the consist files. These in turn will let you download all the cars, locomotives, and what not. After you download and install these, you can pull down all the content of the DLS. And it wont show as locally modified. Use these consists to place on your own route, so you know what cars you can send via portal to MRL. Note, these are only most but not all of the cars that are on MRL. So you may receive cars that you did not place in your session.

I didn't have any problems downloading the files (and what is in the files). Ready to go once GN1996 gets the info page done and v3.0 is on DLS. Can't wait to see if iPortals in multiplayer work as we hope.

I have the page done about as much as I can at the moment, but there is a little work to be done. Viewing the spreadsheet is just matter of a particular person posting the link in the first post. (hint hint :p)

Should be up in 24 hours. But due to a hiccup on my end, there is a missing dependency that may not show on the DLS right away. That's cause I uploaded said asset after I uploaded MRL. But every thing will be and is on the DLS.

Consist downloaded and set in yard, only thing I did not find was a bauxite hopper. Though the hoppers carried just about everything else. Looks like fun was nice to see the selection of motive power to be used.

So far I have found everything except the route and the session. My list only goes up to 2.9. I may have to go to the DLC and find it.

It might take it a few hours to show up in CMP or on the DLS. I uploaded it yesterday, approved it last night, so some time this afternoon to tonight it should be available.

I have the content loaded and will have the Layout loaded as soon as I see it on the DLS. I had no problems with the content and have already put it in my main yard except the locos

I assume that the first session is going to be this weekend. If Jib is not hosting, I will get one up that will run all weekend long (Permitting that iTrainz does not crash).

~smiles and uses a few colorful words~ I am smiling because we will get to seehow all this will play out. I am using the colorful words because Uncle Sam has said this is a training weekend for me. All that being said..... I should be on in the evenings (CST).

Attention all MRL iPortal owners! Please PM your e-mail so I can add you to the list of moderators. This way, people can add their own products and details to the list. Also, leave the iPortal ID column to Jib. He knows what all of the portals are named on MRL. As a side note, your recieving iPortal on your personal routes should be named the same as the MRL portal to avoid confusion.
Again, please send me your e-mail address so I can add you.

I almost forgot, I am doing this with Google Documents. You must have a Gmail account to be able to edit! Some of you may be familiar with it, others may not. If you have worked with MS Excel, the Google spreadsheet is similar in function.

Here's a link to the spreadsheet:

Another thing to take note of: If Jib (or the correct host username he is going to use) is not hosting the session, each of your iPortal IDs will need to be changed to the other username. Otherwise, I believe the consists will not appear on the correct session just like regular iPortaling. Happy to hear our first test is this weekend!
