TOPSIG iPortaling V3

@Ken. Im having a similar issue. Try saving only the session. I have found that if I make changes to the route and the session, I get that message. But if I only change the session I dont get that message. Though I dont get corrupted files out of it.

...

At least I am not alone... I backed up reformatted my gaming drive reinstalled and it still does it ... it was fine a few weeks ago :'(

I can still use the route so I assume my guess of corrupted files was wrong but it is a pain.

After looking at Ken's Google space, I am a bit wary about people sending trains tomorrow evening. "Why?" you may ask. Well, I only see CDP's for 8 of the represented and active railroads/users on Ken's Google space. That means that there are still 6 CDP's unaccounted for. Perhaps somebody posted a link on a previous page somewhere and I missed it. I personally feel that it would be much better if ALL of the CDP's for the consists were on Ken's Google page. The reason for that is it would be much easier for everybody to get all of the necessary content for our sessions.

Anyway, for those of you who do not have CDP's where they should be, please provide some links before tomorrow at about 12:00 eastern US time. This will give those without FCT's (such as me) adequate time to gather and download all of the dependencies.

On a different note, we have an iTrainz channel that we use, called "TOPSIG", to communicate with those people that do not have TeamSpeak on their computer.

Alright, my grouchy rants and ramblings are done. :hehe: See you all on Saturday!

EDIT
For those of you who add or remove products from your consumption or production queues, please make sure to also edit the secondary sheet on the produce/consume document. To do this, all you would simply have to do is find the commodity of interest on the secondary sheet and add or remove you name based on whether or not you handle the commodity. There is no feasible way for me to keep track of the changes you make to your lists on the primary sheet, and I would surely skip over somebody's by accident. Thanks for any and all cooperation!

Dont think thats gonna happen. I'm still swamped in errors

What kind of errors are your assets giving you? Right-click on them and choose "View errors and warnings" to see that. Often times with EDR's, assets will appear to be faulty but really are not. Using the "View errors and warnings" command will fix the assets that pretend to be faulty.

OK, so I'm vinnie264, the owner of FEC, and I barely know how to use the forums since I use SKYPE & TeamSpeak a lot. Now, I am gathering my equipment together, BUT there is a problem, since the route is 368 miles of mainline, I am worried it might be too big. I will test the line in iPortal 2-3 times and if it works, COOL, I will keep it. If it is way too big, then I will probably start some random Shortline/Class 3 like SGLR or something. Again, I have to test it & it should work, but I've already typed to certain people about reskinning stuff just in case this line fails, so I would have an immediate backup. So yea, FEC may be too big since it takes 7-10 hours to cross, but I'll test it, and go from there. I will also be missing the first 2/3 sessions to work on the route since I have much to do on it & with school. My consume/produce list is not 100% there right now, but will eventually be on the route as I am planning for what goes where. I am using industries that do exist on the actual line, and will have the industries produce whatever the real thing produces. So thats about it.

I don't want LINKS I want CDP's, keep everything central so there is no confusion which I know there will be. Also I want to check them for error etc...

Vinnie, just put iPortal somewhere closer to your main yard, you don't have to transverse the whole route.

OK a new iPortalDPRV3.CDP is now available on my Google drive space. As usual install and right-click download for dependencies.

I'm so happy to be a part of this love giving Christian trainz forum. Everybody takes part in the community spirit and nobody feels left out. Not even me.

ok good news i will most likely make to the session but i only have 2-40 coal train ready. The coal tipples i went to are small and the bigger one will take a while but ill try to get 2 more trains ready by tonight.

Sorry guys. Jib, cut me out of the loop please. I can't make it because my Saturdays until September are completely taken up with trips, family matters, etc. Maybe next summer :( .

Ok, Bluewater, Ill take you off the map for now. But I'll leave your other information for time time being.

And Dragon, what time works best for you. We have all agreed that Saturday nights work for most of use because of our jobs.

We should pick a backup evening, chat is down today along with the iPortal server :(

So far for attendance, I, Ken, Danny, MidDesert, and jcurran are all there and it's still about 1 hour before the session begins. I can confirm that iTrainz is up, but is being a pain. It keeps removing people from my contacts list on its own.

Well overall I had fun for my first session... not sure about everyone else. Im going to make a suggestion that everyone save their progress just before sending a train into a portal, and the same goes for after receiving a train. my train was accidentally sent by another player to the wrong user, and is lost somewhere out there :hehe: I will say though there needs to be a lot less chit chat. I couldn't hear myself think at times. I understand we need the communication to let others know when they are sending trains, but there was a lot of unnecessary talking between some of the players. GN1996 and I were also having problems receiving a particular train that Jhuravitch was trying to send to us. I was only able to see the locomotives and the first few cars...We will have to do more testing to see what the problem actually is
