To Ahsan old problems thread

Well here is what happened. I had C drive reformatted and windows reinstalled. I then reinstalled 2006 (which has sp1) and CMP worked except for one small thing . When I go to d/l an asset , the d/l arrow comes on, the helper starts working and nothing comes thru.The rate shows 0kps and then changes to 0bps. My wifes computer downloads fine. strange you say. well I was allowed the d/l of 2009 14hrs.It installed perfectly and I,m amazed at the improvement BUT, CMP2 does the same thing. All this happened after a d/l of photo clinch from tpr and now I cant even access their d/l because it seems my password has changed. I,m at a loss and everyone just scratchs their head and say "never heard of that before" Also, FTP doesn,t allow me to save any d/ls. My FCT is wasting away. Damn

If you've got any error messages relating to that problem, post them here and someone might be able to help.

The log has always indicated that the interfacetext.chump file could not be found. I yhink this is a d/l station file as it is not to be found on our computers

When does the problem occur, eg when downloading the CDP file, when installing the CDP file, or when TRS2006 runs? What log file is that error message in?

AFAIK a missing chump file never matters as Trainz will recreate it next time it runs. But the ways of CMP are dark and devious and not known to mortals.

Did you enter your password correctly into CMP2.0 as you have it in your Auran Profile?

Cmp2.0 has few known issues which will be fixed in SP1 for TS2009.

To Ahsan. This happened to me once before. Some how, my password change and a quick call to auran solved the problem. The point is, someone else did it. All names IDs passwords working correctly.

Thanks for the Jetlog. I'm somewhat familiar with tracing problems with TRS2004 scenarios in a Jetlog, but no idea with TRS2006 DLS downloads. I hope that someone with more knowledge can see what's happening and help you.

Is the date and time set okay on your computer? Did you choose the correct timezone and perhaps the date-time format? I've made this mistake before when setting up computers and this has caused all kinds of weird problems when software is time and date sensitive.
