TMR and M120 templates - inherent problem

The M120 modules has few little issue to, which I have found work arounds, one for me was the no left hand running but I just modified the format, there is a video around that shows Left hand running of North American trains on a M120 route and it just looks funny on what is clearly a route set up for RHR.

The biggest issue in the M120 system is in the templates. The problem is the Huge floor/Column tile that is the size of standard trainz baseboard. To use the template to make you own M120 module, before you start to customize anything you need to delete this tile other wise if you place a building or scenery item on the module by default due its size TMR just thinks your trying to move the huge floor tile and makes it impossible after placing, to position any building or tree. Try it for yourself.

So after you have finished your module you need to put the huge floor back in place which is not to bad, until you have to set the height of the floor tile and in TMR there is no way to type in the height of a building / scenic item like you can a vertex item. So you have to guesstimate the height of the floor which is all fine until you join your module to another one and that is when the fun starts.

So how is everybody else dealing with this issue or is that the reason there is not many M120 modules out there.

I don't have any experience with the M120 modules but in my own feeble attempts I use a layer to hold all of the Floors/Walls/Facia & Supports and then lock the layer. Pehaps you could adapt the M120 in a similar manner.

Layers are the answer. I use quite a few - floor and walls especially. Then when you need to grab something to move, hide those layers otherwise you grab the wall or floor even if those layers are locked.
