Timber Ridge Line, 30 miles of fun

I want to apologise. I have not had any time to finish the route for beta, I have all the testers I need right now.

I just started a new Job, so I have been busy. I will get the beta out when I get some free time

how would one create an exact replica of a railroad line using trainz?

In two words? VERY CAREFULLY! :p

tbh, it's not any different from creating a freelance route except that you have a pre-existing template with which to work. For there, it all depends on how prototypical you want your route to be. If, for example, you, like me, want to be incredibly obsessive about proto fidelity, well,...you either need to learn gmax real fast and start churning out models like there's no tomorrow, or you need to be good friends with someone who DOES gmax. ;)

Ok sorry for the delay everyone. At this rate, the route will not be ready for beta until sometime next week. I am leaving town on Thursday, and will not be back until saturday, and I have to work on Sunday.

Got myself a job at Lakeside Amusment park operating the lakeshore rides. Which inculdes a 22 1/4 inch gauge train, and around a mile of track. Perfect job for a rail fan. We also have 2 steam locomotives from the 1904 worlds fair, but their broken down right now.

Anyway, I finished the new splash screens, let me know what you think

All thats left to do is fix a few switches, and then the route will be ready for beta.

I already have the testers picked, and the route should, if all goes to plan, be out for beta next week

stay tuned

They look great! May I ask where you got the steamer in the first pic from?

Look for Prowler's thread a few threads down. Its a quick reskin of his K-28 beta. I figured since the layout is set around the 60's, having 470 on the splash screen did not make sense (since it was scrapped in 1946). All I am missing is the diamond stack

Anyway, just for basic information. route needs TRS 2006 with Service pack 1 installed. One of my beta testers know's how to convert the route to TRS2004, so more then likely it will, eventually and with tweaking, be released for 2004 as well. at least that is my goal, of course that means that after some 2 years, I will have to reinstall TRS 2004 again. I may even be going back and re-releasing subway and maybe phalanx for 2004 as well.

Love it klinger!

You have a diffenate download coming! Just my kind of route.

btw: you had to name a town after my favorite fox......

FINE! I DON'T CARE ABOUT TRS2004! STOP BLABBERING AND FINISH THE ROUTE! :)

Couldn't resist, sorry ;)

Well, I've taken care of that ;)

The more and more pictures I post of this route, the more and more I think how hard it is going to be to top this. I know! Ill just make it bigger....later...when I feel like it
