This Old House

Hi, I'm looking for an old U.S. type house, circa 1900's that has the look and feel of the house they used in the movie "Psycho".

I have searched now for days and the closest search word is "victorian" or "old house". No other phrase brings up anything even close to the type of house I would like to find. Any help or kuids would be appreciated. The closest house to this description is the "Walsh House" by, I think was made by Shortline2. Sorry if I got this wrong.

Thanks much.

Al,

Look at some of the houses made by Tom Landers. He made some brick homes that are based on those in Canada, but could be reskinned with a paint color to make it into a wood-frame house instead of a brick. These houses have turrets and big bay windows just like you're looking for.

There are other houses like this too over at HP Trainz. They have some big villas that are big Victorian period homes.

And, I almost forgot, those made by jcayena. He made a ton of really very nice buildings and houses. They maybe Belgian, French and German, but they'll work also.

If you have some detailed photos of the house behind the Bates Motel, I'll make it for you. PM me, if you'd like.

Thank you All for the replies. Very much appreciated!

John, the "jcayena" username doesn't seem to work. Think I've seen this or something similar thou before. Will try it again. The "tlanders" link does look promising thou.

JimDep, that's Very nice of you to offer to make this house, but still might be able to locate a good "stand-in" model yet.

rweber95, geez! that's the house all right! Thanks for finding this photo.

Here is a link to info and photos of the Psycho house. Also, a Google for "Bates Motel" brings up some aerial photos of the Universial Studios lot of the entire set used in the movie. Copyright restrictions on these photos has prevented me from posting them here.

From the above link you will discover that the Psycho house was patterned after the Edward Hopper house, which was called, "The House by the Railroad". As can be seen, the Psycho house is very similar, but not as fancy.

At any rate, if/when I do find a good look-alike for this house, will post the kuid for it here. Bye for now.
