There has to be a Rule?

Get over it
While driving on one of my routes I noticed that there was a bridge I wanted to replace. Waited until I thought the bridge was clear of traffic, saved the session and exited. Went to the bridge, replaced it, saved the session and exited. Later while running the same route in the saved session I noticed that there was a loco at one end of the bridge and coal cars at the other. Apparently, the bridge wasn't clear.

My question, is there a rule which would allow me to get rid of the stalled cars without having to restart the session again? The cars are not derailed, just exclamation signs over them. Thanks.

TRS19 Platinum, Trainz Plus and (possibly) TRS22 have the UDS feature that allows you to switch instantly, in both directions, between Driver and Surveyor. For details and an example of its use see the Trainz Wiki Page at https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/How_to_Use_the_UDS_Interface

Removing track from a route at the spot that is occupied by a consist in a session is always a risky operation - the result is often a missing (or in your case a partially missing) consist. The UDS allows you to see where the train is at all times when editing a route and can help you avoid this issue.

Unfortunately, UDS is not available in TRS19 standard. There is no rule that I am aware of that would help.
