I think I can fix that LIARNOC thingy in reverse. I'll get to it when I can unless the government gets to it first. I think I can...give me a week. I"m not quite sure how you are doing what you are doing...but I have an idea in my head that should work in that reverse lettering situation. Can I make a mesh and just sent it to you personally to work on via this forum? And if I can how do I?I've actually started a set of letters. Of course, it will take a longer bridge to put "Norfolk and Western Railway" on the side of, but rather than getting burdened down in a bunch or road names, I'll do the individual letters. Besides, with the way a spline stretches to some degree, what logo fits on one bridge won't look right on another with the bracing of the girders poking through. This way, each letter can be in its own pocket on the bridge.Here's a very rough example- I only made 2 letters, I'm not happy with the font, and haven't weathered them out or anything yet. This is more just to get an idea of how it will look and to get some ideas about it:Anyhow, I've got a little tweaking to do with it. And I made the original one two sided now, so you can put a logo on each side of the bridge. Can't do it with the letters though, because one side of the bridge will say CONRAIL while the other will say LIARNOC. That's no fun.

I just checked the download station and my new Plate Gider bridges are out that we are talking about right now, 1 and 2 Track versions.. Not the best thumbnails, cause I'm on a mission here to learn...and as I learn they will change. So clone what you got before you download the newest version. But I think you will like the newest revision.

I showed my kids how to make money since they were 10. Your Money is your money, My Money is my money. First time I had time to go through a checkout Isle at a grocery store with my kids once I stopped working and they wanted this impuse item or that....I made them trade me for what they had in the shopping cart that they'd been playing with, and I'd buy the impuse item for them they wanted. But they would never get back what they gave me to get it....I'd burn it in the trash bin. Didn't hear that, Daddy I want that crap too much longer then... They learned to live within their means really quick.
In fact it was over, before it really ever started...maybe once, and they got it. The only thing that never carried over from my parents to me to them my kids was a whipping with a belt. I was a dumbass and my older brother was dumber.....we got our share. Never had to once spank my kids, it was all logic....I spock'm via Star Trek, it was always a conversation during trying times strife, but it was also understood.....if they told us, MOM and ME exactly what happened, did not lie...told us the complete story...it would all be over when they were done telling the truth. ie...No punishment for telling the truth no matter what it was. We always got the truth. Then once we knew what was going on we could nudge it. But really we didn't have to do much, I can't even remember punishing my childern...they alway told me the truth, as I hate Liers. I think the only butts slaps they ever got was a birthday.
And you know when you are doing really good, when your Dad and Grandpa tells you how well behaved your childern are. Heck, back in the day my Grandpa gave me and my older Brother a butt whipping with a belt a lot. Logic and reason..that's what I got from having Grand Parents up until 2 years ago. You'd be really suprised what you can learn from a 100 year old person.

The issue isn't one really about the mesh- what I am making is individual letters. If you try to double side the letter, what is spelled left to right on one side of the bridge (C on the south end for example, and L on the north end) reads in the opposite direction (since the north end would be to the left from the other side of the bridge). It could be done with a longer mesh, but since the splines vary in length, there would be no way to insure that the letters would fit between the vertical braces on the girders. And of course, what you could do just fine with a mesh that says "SOO LINE" would be far too short for someone else (I need a "NORFOLK AND WESTERN" on my route). I think that individual single-sided letters would be great so that anyone could make whatever name they wanted.
I'll try to get around to the CN & Milwaukee Road ones as soon as I can..... I've got a project I'm still trying to finish, I've got some caboose requests still pending, I've got to adjust the paint to fit the new bridges, and I've got these letters. Whew, I'm tired after typing it, much less getting it all done! Now I know how Euphod feels!!!

I just turned 56 like 10 minutes ago. Even though, in my estimate I'm a good Dad. ie My Son is going early to Seabrook, if I got that right. 50 bucks an hour 76 hours a week 1.5 overtime. And I'm 56 now for 10 minutes, pluse per diem. My mother-in-law is 80 and lives in my downstairs and she got Clint on the whole deal..you'd call that a basement if you house was not 4,500 sqft. But she does.
It's all A...O.....K...dokey..until she puts on Her black cone hat, turns green, and then has flying monkeys all over the place.

I wasn't remotely attempting to act like one; just simply making a tongue in cheek request in the rather forlorn hope that this thread might just get back on topic.~snip~ so don't act like one.
Just got a 26" monitor on my workstation here at home.
This is nice. It's like 2 ft away, and solves the problem of glasses. I'm still finishing up of the work I need to do, but I have a whole bunch of new toys, like this monitor. Just had my best day ever made 1,566.66 an hour, and worked for 6 hours. Bout ready to wrap this year up. That's $26.10 a minute, (.435 cents a second) and I didn't need any help, or employees just my big Green Machines.
