Honestly I don't care if your computer has a V8 Engine to it. I wanted to see your layout, which (in amongst this waffling) looks good

No kidding right, what next, a full weather report, he probably lost the whole route and just stalling with this

Looking forward to what you can do with this once you get the hardware all squared away. Sounds like you've got yourself a real beast to play with!

The Processor was not upgraded just the HHDs to an SSDs. The main focus has been on my quicken business files and my 2943 Multiple TV episodes and movies. I've got 3 back ups of everything right now and about ready to take some down. The old origional hard drives, in tact, and off line. The sever user copy of the same, and the new install with restored datafiles. I'm in the equipment burn in stage with the server HDDs right now, it's been 10 days and no hickups. I upgraded most of my HDDs in the server to Western Digital Reds, Upgraded the operating sytem of the server, running stablebit dive pool on it. I have a Pooled Drive of 30 TB's and SMART has everything green. This just is'nt a simple back up and restore.

We had both my Son and his Girl Friend over this last weekend along with my Daughter, 2 dogs and a cat. To go with our 2 Cats and 3 Dogs. With the new SSD in the HTPC, movies were pulled up in an instant...ie, not even a blue swirling circle. Just push a button.....movie plays...no spinning blue circle...instant, push tv controller pay movie.

Actually I have 2. One on the TV as an HTPC (home theater PC) scores 7.3 and mine, scores 7.6. I'm into duplication of everything. I look foward to running my route on a 52 inch Sony Bravia @ 1080p.

I also have Diskeeper running on the Pool to elimate fragmentation...what can I say, "I know this stuff." And I'm putt'n up a bitch system.

Sorry no Screenshots yet, but with all my processing Horse Power on my 2 I7's I've been taking all 7 of my brothers and sister, and brother-in-laws family home videos's, VHS...and my mother-in-laws from the early 80's to 2000 and digitizing them from VHS to DVD as a Christmas Present to all of them. 700 hours total real time processing to the I7's. it's all digitized and I only have 6 more clips to enhance, 12 hours or so and I'm done. 30 years of Video's processed in the last 15 days. Having mutliple GPU's in a box really helps. Infact I was doing so good with this they bought me a couple Cannon 900F scanners....to do a truck load of photos.
Merry Christmas.....Happy New Year, and no worries the day after tomorrow will come on schedule.

The nicest thing about a big server in the house.

Is in addition to having 1000's of movies on demand, I have 1352 Albums on demand in the music folder, 80 or so, which are Christmas, that playlist, plays as a backdrop Christmas Photo's going back over the Last 50 Years. I like Computers I've been messing with them since punch cards.

In fact, have a Christmas Treat...Get Merry Christmas by Johnny Mathis it will put you right there.

Scanned 90,000+ photos already.....started fast then...it slowed down for a few days until I figured out a filing system for the scans.

The system is based on a library card catalog, but modified for marraige issues....the female spouse retains the maiden name in the "joined" Folder as a Child, portraits stay with the parent family...and I'm flying with the scans.

So much so, sent one of the Cannon 900F's back. The reviews I read on Amazon, said most scanners take 4-6 minutes to process a scanned photo, this Cannon was to do it in 1.5 minutes. On my Box it takes 10 seconds to scan and 20 seconds to put in some more photos, and take out the scanned ones, and it will scan all the individual photos I can fit on the surface at once, sometimes,8. In the case of WWII photos where paper was in short supply in the Pacific Theator, and the pictues were like 1"x1", I scan them at 9600 DPI and can blow them up on my 52" Sony Tv at 1080p quality. My at home Mother-In-Law is really pleased the the results...of these Scans. "It's amazing, It's like I'm looking at these for the first time all over again with the same excitement, Wonderful", she says. I had my Brother and Sister in law over for New Years, and showed them Pa in the Pacific on a 52", not 1"x1", blew them away and into tears.

In this photo scanning journey I'm on, I"m learning about digital image processing, how to fucus an out of focus picture....how to compensate for exposure. That will help me in the future with some really clean "skins" on models.

We don't hardly have any snow here at all, just dust.

GFYS......

I started a family site...to connect my family. Photo's are great. One of those family heritage things, Geo. Washington, F.D.R. & the Bushes were all in the same bedroom, my family too.

....... with Geo. Washington I knew we were related back through Scottish Kings 800 to 900 A.D. but this is a new connect...abt 200 yrs before the Revolution, 1300 to 1400.

BTW my wife/cousin & my mother-in-law is my aunt....our lines have crossed 12 or more times in 1000 years. We are decended from Viking Bedrooms and include the...

Arundel, Bayeux, Baynton, Beauchamp, Bigod, Brionne, Briscquibe, Brittany, Bruce, Chester, Clare, Courcy, d'Arundel, d'Audley, Danemark, de la Roche, Echingham, FitzAlan, Ghent, Gloucester, Grey, Harcourt, Helena Le Bon, Howard, Huntingdon, Iry, Lombards, Longchamp, Maere, Maltravers, Marshall, Merrill, Monfort-sur-Risle, Montgomerie, More, Normandie, Peche, Plantagenet, Rohesia de Vere, Senilis, Souabe, Spencer, St. Leder, Stafford, Tudors, and my favorite champion, the Warrens.

So champion me, William the Conqueror was my grandpa, and my wifes', and my mother-in-laws'..and we work together.

So that pix of her getting married, is Wailliam the Conquerors' , 28th granddaughter, my aunt mother-in-law, Sue de Michigan, "Martel"....as in Charles the "Hammer" of the Franks.

You're welcome to frame it no copywright, if you want it signed we can do that too....and the lines cross again.

Yours Truely,

Vikings in another land.

Yes photos are great. Just here, on a TRAINZ forum, usually the photos are TRAINZ or Trains related. If you want to waffle about a family get the Facebook thing, or a Blog. You've got some great shots in here, but this waffling is seriously not nice to tread through
