Just to Prove I ain't Dead

Jointed Rails New Track. In Marquette, Michigan 7/5/2011.

I've been working all weekend on Marquette 100 hours and have about 2 miles done.

Nice thing about Jointed Rail Track....

I'm running the Dark Gray Terrian version. See the yellow dot on the track?

Now look below it, the track is crossing a gorge without a bridge installed see what the tack does? No more gaps under bridges..etal.

and for what it's worth....

Trainz 12 is worth the upgrade. I haven't had to tweek much in this route...at all.

And the graphics rendering is much better then TS10 or 9 and this is a 300 meg route at this point....swinging 30,000 or so speed trees into view or 100 or so buildings.

Color Shape Contrast & Texture

Wawasoo, I show you this little picture of Vancouver at the warf(WIP) and it has more depth much more than your high flying ego. Yes its flat close to Vancouver that is why I choose this one all the rest of this route all the way to Calgary has Canadian Rocky Mountains surrounding them. And that is a totally different pair of landscaper Budweiser shoes!

If you are still not convinced (probably) well go to my thread and learn a little bit of what Trainz is about technically not only verbally.

called Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011.
You as a professional landscaper can enjoy what's really feasible today.
Yes Mezzoprezzo (Casper keep up the good work)and many others still using TRS2004 do a wonderful job and awesome picts out there I enjoy every day. But i opted for the 3D stuff and go with it progress day by day enjoying the challenge.
I hope for yourself you come down from you Bud bar stool or sink deeper in your sofa and grump at those ugly trainzers barking back at you and still don't know why, ask OCR he has recent experience in that field too..

Just back from Bangkok and seeing the devastation in Japan my heart is in shock trying not to imagine what really happened not viewable on video.
This makes this rant at you silly but you need to get cookies from your own dough!:(:(

For instance...

Most of the lights in trainz look goofy...they don't look like how light realy is...it brightens up an area and casts shadows all around till you peek into black. ie...most just look stupid. Here is a set that does not...at Big Foot Timber west of Ishpeming, MI.

I'm sure you are aware of the different size "light circles" on the DLS that are meant to be placed underneath most light. I agree the lights do look goofy, but you seem to have overcome that. I am working with a mesh to light up surfaces that do not have nightmode, but it's coming slowly.

I enjoy your progress shots from your route, thanks.

Some Reskinned Bendorsey Lift Bridges in AuTrain, MI

I really like his interactive lift bridges, swing bridges but I'm using mosly JJS bridges in this Layout. If anybody knows him refer him to this page, because I'm gonna hut him down and see if it's ok that I begin releasing some of my reskins needed to complete this route. I think, I'd change that stone pier on the lift bridge to match those old reddish brick stone pier. The idea I have is to release all this custom content well before this route is done so you can use it now. BTW that's Maddy25's concrete texture on those counterweights. FWIW, my wifes grandma passed at 103...good genes so I feel like I'm really screwed on my lifetime FCT now.

Here is that same reskinned Lift Bridge 60

skinned with Maddy25's brick texture....Color Co-oridinated..if that's a word. ie they, humans would most likely use the same materials on any given bridge. So if you are going to mix and match bridges the stone and the metal should be the same.
