The Wonderful World of British Narrow Gauge Railways

I've been a fan of narrow gauge railways since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I made my first 009 layout in a spare bedroom when I was a teenager still with my parents. Hatton's model shop in Liverpool was within walking distance of the house and there I picked up many second-hand bargains.

I've seen preserved lines change from overgrown wilderness to superbly restored routes and rolling stock turned from rusty wrecks to shining examples of bygone technology, this video shows the often overlooked freight demonstrations on preserved narrow gauge lines in the UK.

A lot of the locos and coaches have been modelled in Trainz and you might recognise them, specially the ex SAR Garrets and rolling stock, but here you can see many other little-known gems at work.

Feel free to add any of your NG stories and videos that you find.
