The Next CityRail (LG PICS)

jkuhn

Owner of PacificTrainz
We are very happy to show off the first pics of our new city concept called LADELY. This town essentially is a preview of the next CityRail route (Wanna guess what were calling it?).

The next CityRail will be a whole new change to the series, with things never done before on a Trainz route. The next CityRail will also feature more animated content (You'll notice the man in the parking lot)....

Enjoy!

The next CityRail is still quite a ways away, however we want to show work in progress images to get some feedback on what we should add into the route.

Please feel free to give us suggestions in this thread on what kinds of things you'd want to see in the next CityRail route!

Enjoy!

-Jeremy

Wow looking like a good start. Cant wait to see how this route will turn out.

I thought maybe y'all might want to have a little glimpse of what's been going on.....

More pics coming very soon!

Really nice route jkuhn, I can't wait to see how this turns out. :D (I admit though your title threw me off though, as I took it for an Aussie Sydney-set route at first - 'Cityrail' is the name of the Sydney suburban rail operator by the way ;)).

Just one question though: if you don't mind me asking, what is that red paved platform in your last shot? I've been searching for something like that for ages actually - it would be perfect for a route of my own I'm currently developing.

Anyway, excellent work! :D

That last one is the CPR Straford (I think) Proto Station, it's built in to TS12. In CityRail tradition, it's being used again. For a TRS2006 asset, it has aged very well.

@PBY What do you mean by under the wire?

Since most of the Cityrail Network is under wire I think he was suggesting something like this

great to see someone doing a Cityrail route at last. Been lacking for so long some where to run all my Cityrail content.

Yeah by under the wire, I mean electrified. I think it would be great for one end of the route to be a mix of Electric powered trains as well as Diesel powered trains too. Then half way through the route, There would be a fair sized terminal area where either Electric Commuter Trains could terminate or there could be a change over to Diesel power.

We explain this every year don't we. :)

CityRail is a FICTIONAL route created by PacificTrainz. CityRail has NO RELATION to the Australian City Rail commuter rail service.

I found out there was an actual commuter rail service named City Rail about a year after CR1 came out.

No relation...... Sorry.

ALL PACIFICTRAINZ ROUTES ARE AMERICAN BASED.

You do know that one of the Biggest Train operation Companies in Australia is Called Pacific Trains and Pacific National

Well I'm not Australian.

The names used I came up with on my own, but I guess someone came up with them before I did.

Plus it's PacificTrainZ with a Z, not an S.

But we Auzzie'z always inter mix out Z and S that's why we came up with TrainZ you do know Trainz is Auzzie Right
