Well it's time for this thread to take off!
An Amtrak commuter train arrives at Fierro Station. The Catenarys in the background are for the Light Rail System...(Yes, the new CityRail route includes Light Rail).
*Sorry for the low-graphc settings, SP1 is kicking my PC in the head....
Anyways....
Amtrak crosses Plaza Ave Crossing.
On June 25th, this new route will get it's name. If anyone wants to try to guess what it'll be called, feel free.
Some more info:
The new route is brand new from the ground up. It's a NORTH AMERICAN based route that will take fun to a whole new level. The route is built and designed to run pretty much every kind of train. Whether that be coal, intermodal, or passenger, this route can do it.
The new route is totally SP1 compatible. The route uses newer assets that include thumbnails, the newer assets have to meet a criteria before being put into the route.
Our own custom content is in this route. While not in the pics above, the route will include our new scenery items, some already available for Season Pass Members.
About the route itself:
The new CityRail goes a slightly different way than previous CR routes. This route does everything, but in a very unique way. The route is more scenic, not meant for constantly being in the fast lane. When at the head end, users won't always be speeding along at 79 or even the 110mph limits that were previously featured in CR4, yes, there are high speed zones that are up to 79mph, but we wanted to break the pattern we've been going and do something different.
Along the route, users can expect to be going over what were calling the Annison Mountain Pass, this pass is something of a challenge to build, but in the end, it is looking to be a beautiful piece of the route. We'll very soon have pics of the route and the Annison Pass, which if your curious is double track most of the way.
More pics coming soon!
