Okay, here's an updated picture of the viewliner. I haven't had much time to really work on it, but it has made some progress.

In the picturee if you look down at the bottom there ius like pink pruple and brown, what does it represent? I've seen it on other projects too, sorry to be nooby but I was just wondering.

When you make something in gmax, there are no textures, and the program makes gives every shape you build a different random color to help you distinguish. Then you texture later.

Tht's cool, I have a train car and if you get inside the fold down staircase you can find some pink where they didn't texture because it never shoews. Is the brown gonna be where you texture on the HEP and airhoses corey? Or will it be textured grey and then those things would be solids. I might try my hand at texturing and I was just wondering. I like the new sig.

Most likely a dark grey, but it will be shadowed anyways. I model on the H.E.P. hoses and mu controllers. Glad you like the sig, i made it myself.

Sounds good. The logo is great! It has a cutoff three sheets to the wind logo and then the writing in amtrak blue and their font (I guess it's arial). It just looks more professional! Have you started on the coupler area or are you just chilling from Trainz right now. The blue on the car looks like amtrak's blue for phase 4b and if that's the phase you were going after it looks great! I wonder if amtrak has any of the diner viewliners, I'll have to look that up.

Right now i am working on my amfleet 1 package. But i need to go back to my viewliner for a bit, so hopefully i will have more pictures soon! Amtrak has only 1 viewliner diner and it's in storage at Bear Delaware.

Is bear near Wilmington DE? I'd like to see all of the stuff Amtrak has in storage. That's great ur working on the amfleets! I can't wait for some more screenies! I thought that render of a Viewliner/Baggage you did a while back was AWESOME, I wish theyt actually made those but then again those garage door style doors on the sides are a pain for most employees.

Bear is near Wilmington, yes. Actually.. A friend of mine who is the manager at Washington's Union station asked to me to do that model for him, as a idea to the bigwigs or something like that. Who knows, i could have unknowingly designed the next real Amtrak car.

Strench707, I believe it was. But i think it was just for fun, since there's been talk of a what-if viewliner baggage dorm.
Sams49, I really appreciate the comment, means alot to hear that you appreciate the hard work I put into my models. As I truely do treat them as artwork and not as trading cards. But i hope to bring a true Amtrak fleet to trainz sooner or later. Just takes alot of time and devotion.

Very true corey. You can call me davis if you want but I don't mind. That would be cool to see one of those, it would serve a simliar purpose as the coach baggage superliner in a way. I saw you did a diner way back, have you ever considered doing it in phase 4b? No pressure because I realise it is art and you do what you want when you want it.

It would serve the same purpose as the Baggage Dorm did back in the heritage days. For now i am sticking strictly to prototype based models.

Yeah, I like the prototypes the best too! Any progress on the viewliner or amfleet. By the way, when the amfleets and viewliners go around curves do the outside frame things turn too?

It's called a tortion assembly, and no, it does not rotate with the truck. I've redone the amfleet trucks so they are a bit less blocky.

That's cool, the wheels did look just a tad hexagonal but not until you look more closesly. I'm sure if I looked at it now , I wouldn't even notice. Is the Cali car thing still going or are you just do these projects and then do that as to not try to do too much at once? I'm so excited that you guys are doing these projects! I remember like 2 years ago there was barely anything amtrak on trainz. I hope you realise how high quality ur stufff is compared to others!

Cali cars will still be worked on, but after i finish up a few other things, i just work on what ever i'm in the mood for. Quality is mostly an oppinion, so if you feel that way, i'm glad to hear it.

I'm okay with that work method because evrything ur doing I really like. And yes, I really heavily believe that this is the best stuff that is available 4 trainz. You know how you are doing variations of amfleets in the futre, maybe you couold try the Beech Grove. I've been in and it has a balcony andtables and rooms and is just a amfleet that is overhauled. No pressure jsut an idea but I know that you do what you like. I can't wait for another update or screenie!
