The Frisco High Line

No not to Fort Scott. There's a map on the very first page of this thread of what's include in the route. The thought of doing something in TANE including Fort Scott, KS and Nevada, MO has peaked my interest. In the past these towns included action from the MKT, Mo Pac, and Frisco. Today it's the BNSF and MNA (Missouri & Northern Arkansas).
Yeah I forgot about the map on page 1 :D Thats the reason I've been so interested in the Afton Sub with Columbus, KS being the focus as thats where the famous Frisco-MKT triple diamond was located! If/when I start mine I can only hope it turns out half as good as yours!

Finally, after a long layoff...

I'm back behind the helm of a new computer.

Jointed Rail, it's the JR high detail track by Adam Chilcote/simulatortrain. It's freeware, but you need an account to download it. Although in my opinion LilB's freeware freight cars are worth an account that doesn't cost anything; track is just a bonus.:D

Glad your back at this great route Derrick ! BTW what are the spec of your new toy ?

Seems to be running pretty good so far. I've only had the new machine up and running for a couple of days so I'm still fine tuning and breaking it in. :) It better be enough juice for TANE!

hi dricketts
nice screenshots. nice route
how did you get the screens without the jagged edges.
no matter how i set my pc and graphics card. it never ever looks like that
thanks

I don't know what to say! These screenshots are awesome and the amount of effort you are putting into building the route is amazing!

Although I never had the fortune of seeing the Frisco in action as they were already long gone by the time I was born, I do know that were a crucial part in my area's economy before the interstates and highways were built as they and the other railway companies that were operating in the area(Missouri Pacific, MKT, The Saint Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway, and the various companies formed by Louis Houck) were about the only way of quickly transporting freight to the river towns(Cape Girardeau, Cairo, Belmont(Gone), Bird's Point(Gone), and New Madrid) to be put on barges. But most of of the Frisco's former routes have been abandoned and pulled up now.

I also guess these are the routes(1,2,3,4) you're building here?"

Thanks. There's still a lot of Frisco lines around. It's called the BNSF. My route is only #1 in your posted link. The Clinton sub.

I mean around here in Southeastern Missouri, most of the lines that were part of the Frisco's River Division have been abandoned and pulled up according to a KMZ file I got from the Frisco Historical Society Forums.

This should be a built in route in T:ANE. Its just absolutly breath taking. Trainz can bring the artist within you thats for sure

Appreciate that...

Here's a Frisco RS1 spotting a couple of boxcars down the middle of Center St. in Clinton.

I caught these three boxcars waiting on the house track just on this side of the MKT depot in downtown Clinton. Can you guess which one is full of beer?

I'm not sure exactly which one without checking again. I know for sure it's one of bnsf50's. I don't have access to my pc right now but if you want to, pm me I can check for you.

Here's a nice video taken from across from the MKT depot in Clinton, Mo. This video was found at an estate sale out side of Clinton. Date unknown...

hi mate
sorry, but was unavailable for a few days.
the items in your screen shots are all nearly of perfect edging. mine, even with everything turned on fully, still show the jagged, ragged edges like as if it were a low end pc with a standard graphics card

no matter how i change the settings, i cannot get a smooth finish

cant post a pic at the mo,
will try and do it when i get back on the home pc

thanks
ron

Im not sure about that. I've never had that issue on the three different machines I've ran Trainz on. Maybe try posting some screenshots in the general Trainz forum. I'm sure somone knows. Shane Turner is really good about quirky technical issues.
