The Frisco High Line

You'll always find mistake's in every screenie ya put up and normally it's after you have posted the pic LOL. I'm liking this thread more and more Dricketts your really telling an awesome story with it so keep up the great work.
Cheers Mick.

That's why I take and post so many screenshots. It helps me see details that I've missed in Surveyor. If you want a good laugh...go to the Hudson River Route thread's first page. :D Great stuff dricketts...I'm watching you...Ha Ha! ;)

Cheers,
Fred

I might take a closer look at that building's textures. If I remember correctly I pulled it off the DLS. <kuid:244265:1157>

I dare say the textures are probably fine, the error probably is in the model's creation. I have a few that are the same way. They can be skinned to hide the flaw to a certain extent, but sometimes not very well.:(

More Katy in Clinton, Mo.

I had to sneak into a couple of backyards to get these shots. This GP7 is leading its consist all the way to St. Louis.

"Ma! That creepy guy is in the backyard again!"

Seriously nice work, trespassing charges aside....

-Nice shots, like that fence too!

-Joe

and that fence looks sweet!

Regards,

Retro.

You have to thank dinorius_redunicus (Deane) for that fence. It is awesome! I approached him about creating it and he was up for the challenge. I didn't mention his name at first because I wanted to see how long it took someone to comment on it. Well it didn't take long. He humbly didn't think anyone would notice but I didn't agree. How can you miss the best fence ever created for Trainz?

I thought we needed a 4 foot residential type chain link fence. I'm not sure about other parts of the world but we have these fences everywhere in the US. All the chain link fences I know of for Trainz are much larger for a industrial type setting.

Deane's fence should be on the DLS shortly.

I do like that fence, I'll have to go download it here in a hurry... EDIT: as soon as it appears on the DLS, anyway...

And good shots of the route, Dricketts. I'll have to get 2010 or 12, though, to run this beauty once it's finished...

thanks for making another great badly needed item

cheers

Good fences make good neighbors, thanks Deane!

Of course, you'll still get that random creepy guy ignoring your fence to take pictures of passing trains...:o

Really glad people seem to like the little fence. I had no idea there was a need for one given the thousands of fences already on the DLS. So we must thank Derrick for making the request and for invading someone's back yard to take the necessary texture photos. He really did work hard for this.

Anyway, enough text, let's get back to High Line screenies!

Sorry karman and thanks for asking.

I've been away and busy for a while with the American holiday. I haven't made much time for Trainz in the last 2 weeks. I'm having withdrawals... :udrool:

I did get to visit some of the old High Line country during this time and it's gave me some new ideas. Hopefully I can find some time to get back in the groove over the next couple of days.

Oy, i feel ya:o trainz withdrawl sucks!

anyway, with as good as this route looks, i think we can wait if you decide to take a week or two off.
