The Frisco High Line

Thanks for the offer Deane. I really appreciate it. I'm so excited to see what you might come up with.

I was actually out walking some of the old High Line today taking a few pics. Mostly landscape though. Let me give it some thought and I'll pm you with some ideas.

Happy Halloween

I thought this night pic might be appropriate for the holiday...

A BN train rounds the curve on the High Line after the Frisco takeover.

Osceola Lime Company

A small limestone quarry in Osceola, Mo. Today most of this area is flooded year round from the Harry S. Truman Reservoir opened in 1971. These large, man made, rock, track grades can still be seen in Google Earth today.

A Very Stormy Evening in Missouri

My very first shot I was lucky enough to catch a lightning bolt at the far right edge of my camera frame. It was not to be for the rest of the night...

I did a reskin of the Trinity Hoppers available at USLW in SLSF paint. I'm not sure when the Trinity Hoppers were manufactured but either way I thought they came out pretty good.

I'd guess that they were made in the 1980's, and yes, your reskin does look pretty good.;)

Clinton Mo.

A MKT train slowly crosses N 2nd St in Clinton headed out of town on its way to Appleton City, Mo. That's the SLSF spur to the left for the Frisco depot in town.

Weaubleau Lions Club Est. 1963

Thanks to davesnow for these great hanging signs ready for reskinning! They can really bring a prototype route to life with a bit of local flare...

Dumpster Fire

A member of the Clinton Fire Dept. looks for a reported dumpster fire. Meanwhile a MKT sw1200 pulls a short string of boxcars down the MKT main line.

I agree Mick. I really like what dricketts has been doing with this. There's a lot of attention to detail, and that makes the difference between a half-assed route and one that's not. Keep going dricketts! :)

Cheers,
Fred

-Make that three! I'm liking what I see except for this texturing lol:-Joe

I was going to comment on that, but I didn't want to appear 'petty'. Damn shame, it's a nice building in shape and intent, too bad the mapping is distorted like that.
Carry on Dricketts, you're doing splendid work!

Yes...mapping textures takes a bit of practice. I've had maps turned upside down and inside out. I'm better now...:hehe:

Cheers,
Fred

-Keep up the good work!

-Joe

Come on... I was going to blame that on my crappy cheap camera lens! :D

What's funny is I've used that building twice on my route and never noticed the texturing issue until I posted this screen shot. I agree with Euphod... I love that building. I can find one just like that in every small mid west town.

I might take a closer look at that building's textures. If I remember correctly I pulled it off the DLS. <kuid:244265:1157>

You'll always find mistake's in every screenie ya put up and normally it's after you have posted the pic LOL. I'm liking this thread more and more Dricketts your really telling an awesome story with it so keep up the great work.
Cheers Mick.
