The Checkrail Thread

Good evening, can anyone advise on the following...
I am trying to get the Kanshino session content but appears that the links to both sets of flat cars are not available. Are they available elsewhere?
Thank you.

Thanks, got the second one. The download link for the first one within their page seems to be the issue. So your link to the page is fine.

aha! I tested the page link, but not the download link. I have PM'd a Russian friend to see if we can get some help....

Good afternoon Dermmy, any update on this link please?

I have heard from the creator and it appears that the content has vanished for good. It is not impossible that I have mis-understood, we are communicating via Google Translate which is an utterly abysmal Russian > English intermediary. Anyway I have taken the Kanshino downloads off the site till either I re-do the session (unlikely) or the content re-appears elsewhere (probably even less likely). Not the perfect solution, but the only one to hand in the short term....

Pictures made on the great and excellent Clovis Sub 2.5 :)

This is probably a long shot but maybe those looking for them could try this new kuid search site see http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?112795-www-trainzkuidindex-com-is-open Never know they may just be available elsewhere or try the wayback machine http://archive.org/web/ that sometimes has old sites and downloads etc archived.

Just an update on the Kanshino thing - the route is officially dead. I was fixing the missing flatcars when i discovered that the ones which are still available have been updated and now have a build number which makes them unusable in a 3.5 install, so that's that then....

And yes, this is a screenshot thread so here are a few of my Kanshino favourites....

Still love that TU4 Diesel

:)

Dermmy,

Lovely shots, especially as they are narrow gauge. I envy your skill but I can't help pointing out one small flaw. Your crossings show right hand driving, Japanese drive on the left just as we do.

Thanks Peter - it might be worth mentioning that route is inspired by Russian prototypes, not Japanese...

:)

I apologise, the name looked Japanese and I jumped to that conclusion. I still applaud the realism in the route.

Thanks All :)

@ Ken - the spline grass is one of a series by Tram__ "JVC(TBL)GrassSpline#1*" from the DLS. Grass objects are Trunda's which are not on the DLS and I've lost track of where they are currently hosted. Tram__ used Trunda's texture images on a JVC spline, which makes the spline and object transition close to seamless. If you are in TS10 Compatibility Mode it's important that you use the original <Kuid2:blah:blah:1> versions of the splines. In later versions of the sim use the updated versions of the splines, but in later versions the seamless blend to Trunda's objects becomes irrelevant because the object grasses suffer big time from the alpha issue thing....
