The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

Rick...that route is looking great! I really like your texturing and landscaping.

If I may, I would like to offer a very small suggestion. I see in the 3rd pic above that you are using Funky Road 3B. That's the pothole section of Funky Road 3. You might want to use 3A as the dirt road and a one segment section of 3B just in the places where you want a pothole or, in this case, a pair of potholes. :)

Keep up the fine work and have fun doing it!

Cheers,
Fred

Thanks fellas! Well, Chris, the track in the screenshots I've been showing is "okay". There may be the odd tight curve and I'm willing to live with it rather than mess around with it. At the moment I'm working on the tracks up ahead. I'm going through a valley and rivers and tracks are do amazing things! Also, I actually forgot how to use TransDEM... so I'm using my orignal map. I messed it up pretty good the first time. Anyway, I'm picking my way through the valley looking for the path of least resistance, while also trying to stay true to the map. One thing I CANNOT live with is seeing my loco going over a bump. I don't want my boys in the cab to have to wear hard hats!

Cheers, let's see your routes! Hmm... that doesn't sound right. Let's see your screenshots! .... Rick
Have you tried using the smooth spline tool? Pretty handy for working out some bumps on tracks. I put that tool to use a lot.

Did a bit of work in Kentville got the 1970 station up and starting to add detail in now.

I've got some more for my fellow Rick. And since Rick likes the being able to see for miles part, those have been included in this set. This time we got a CN mixed freight.

You are very talentful Rick alias the Bush Master (LOL) all your latest shot are amazing! Keep it up my friend ! From my side, it is not going very fast as I decided to replace all 3D trees (Pofig) by plane trees (BBF11 + Clam1952+ trainz666). Which one are you using here ?
Cheers!
