G'morning all,
-dragonharh: I recognize those ground colours. I hope to see the finished product!
-Enzo1: Do you know what those great shots did to my allergies? I took me 10 minutes to the clean the boog**s of my monitor :'(
-anyone: Great shots all! I love those CPR passenger cars :hehe: :hehe:

I finished to track from the Wye at South Slocan north to the City - now Village - of Slocan which is situated at the south end of Slocan Lake, and decided to 'decorate' the village. The details were taken from Google Earth 2005 imagery. There's almost no Streetview in Slocan.

The first train arrived in 1897. (There was a ferry/rail service to New Denver, Naksup and then on to the CPR mainline at Revelstoke. That segment got removed because of Trainz issues with big files.) The rail line runs south to South Slocan and was closed in 1998. (There are large hydro electric works stretching from South Slocan to Corra Linn, 4 km. upstream. )

Hi Rob,
hehehehehe... You were searching for floating logs, no doubt. Try searching for floting.

DONJ floting loggs large,<kuid2:564419:1200:1>
DONJ floting loggs,<kuid2:564419:1181:1>
DONJ floting loggs spline,<kuid2:564419:1178:1>

Give the creator a break. He's Swedish I think and The Queen's English is a 2 language. The author is "bjornl". Do a search on his name, you'll discover even more good stuff, some of which is not obvious.

You'll likely need: Boat Mooring Pylon, and Ship Mooring Pylon as well.
Here's a closeup:

Good luck,
cheers,

PS That's a surveyor shot so the yellow dots are spline points and don't show in Driver.

Thanks Michael,

Those are just what I've been looking for. There are a number of similar log yards in the waterways around Vancouver (that's my longer term project once I get a break from aircraft re-skins...).

Cheers

Rob

Since I haven't seen any posts in here, I figure it's time to give it a bump to make sure that Rick and folks still know this thread exists, and that I thank them for the previous comments. In fact, I'm so grateful I've returned with more.
