The Canadian Thread - Hi-Res images

I tried last night to make the whit a little lower on the scale to add some grey but it didn't look right.

I think it's about ready to go to DLS though.. but ill see if I can do some further playing around with colors. We'll see what I can do.

Thanks.

It looked just fine to me. We have one of those signs at our VIA station, and it looks pretty much the same as the one in your screenshot. It certainly isn't grey.

Thanks..

I would like to get a working night mode for it before adding to DLS but I think that may take me a little longer. Probably will add it as is and do an update version (if I can remember how) to it once I have a night mode added... lot's of fun : )

Thanks to Lorin!!

Nice. :) I look forward to using that somehow someway...:D

BTW, that shot reminds me of Pearson and the 401.

Keep up the great work!

Since I enjoy the USA, UK, Australian and other themed screenshot threads, I thought I'd start one for us Canucks.

I'll start off with a CN shot. Anyone recognize the location?

Where did you get the water tower in the background. That looks like the one Native to Washago?

What sources do you use to create something as real as this?

you live in Toronto? I do to.:D what part?

I don't live there now, but my folks live in Brampton. When I move back someday, I doubt I'll live there...:hehe: What about you?

Here are a few shots from me:

Why don't you get one yourself?
@trainman12 - dont ask like that , he probably just doesnt know how to use the magic of photobucket and the prnt screen button (on windows)

Anyways to take a pic ingame , open a paint program of some sort and open trainz at the same time , then when you are in surveyor or driver , press the F5 button (so that the HUD disapears) and the prnt screen button on your keyboard and the pc will take a screenshot of what is currently on your screen. Then switch to the paint program and hit Ctrl+V aka Paste. Then once your image is saved head over to photobucket and upload and if you dont have an account then make one. Once your picture is uploaded then go below the image to see the IMG code and copy it and then submit a new post in this thread with the IMG code so that it shows up. Since theres no "red_rattler" here , you should be ok on screenshot size

Looks like the coaling tower at http://www.virtual-motive-division.com/ (Freeware-->North America-->Scenery-->Concrete coal tower)
Thanks alot man it was the VMD Coaling tower.

I wonder what sources and pictures he was using cause I'm doing the same thing as he is, but I'm taking mine on through the Newmarkt to North Bay ontario My Hometown. I'm modelling the route of the Northlander from Cochrane to toronto union station, But it will start in North Bay.

If anyone can tell me the information I require that would be great.:)

Well, I know that on my route, I'm using a combination of Google Earth, personal experience (I live about 2 miles from the tracks), and educated guesswork to make it work. ;)

EDIT: try sites like Railpictures.net and search for the locations, too.

Thanks cause I've modelled it in the present day, but I modelled it the same way in the pic on the first page of this thread, and movies on Youtube, show that instead of 4 tracks there's now only 1. That's why I'm asking.
