Taking a screen shot? Or video

Videos are pretty straightforward if you have the correct software. I use bandicam.
Just run it simultaneously with Trainz, recording what you want to, then upload the finished result to youtube and post the link into your thread.

Screen shots are a little more involved.

If you have windows-7, there is a snipping tool on your toolbar (it looks like a pair of scissors and a pink oval).
With other op-systems, you may have to use the 'print screen' button instead, and then paste it to a picture-editor like 'paint'.

Once you have the screenshot, you will have to upload it to an image-hosting website, such as imageshack or photobucket.

It is a bit easyer then that:
- Press "Print Screen"
Yup, thats about it. Screenshots are then saved automaticly in your screenshot folder:
\TS12\UserData\screenshots

Also how does one make videos or can we use fraps?

Yes, you can definitely use FRAPs for taking video footage from Trainz, however, be aware that the Freeware version will only record 30 seconds of footage at a time, and only in uncompressed AVI format (it also watermarks the video footage with an annoying web address on it too). Only the paid full software will record footage with no time limit.

As well, if you use FRAPs to record video, make sure it saves the footage to another drive that is not the drive that has the program you're recording footage from on it (like Trainz), as you'll suffer a major drop in framerate otherwise.

Still, it's probably the best screen capture program around. :)
