Procedural track

In T:ANE we now have procedural track so no more blade-less, checkrail-less and wingrail-less junctions. It's not 100% yet, sometimes the sleepers are a bit off and not every type of junction can be made, 3-way for example but it's still an improvement to what we had.

Here is a typical cross-over

Some junctions

If some of the junctions are too close together, the spline circles turn red. The also turn red if the junction angle is too extreme.

Still have a few wrinkles to iron out.:)

I just ran across these interesting photos on Railroadfan. These are some interesting junctions to consider!

Some historical stuff from steveflanders

Are there more locomotives of this era? Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Hi normhart

There are models of Rocket (kuid:55976:57), Lion (kuid2:55976:76:1) and Thunderbolt (kuid:55976:67) all made by "blue" and on the DLS.

P.S. He also has some period rolling stock as well, look for "third class" and "Traveller".

Regards

Brian

Finally Got my first route from Mac 2 converted to TANE. Its the Turn Of The Century Georgetown Loop Line since I need a place to run my NG stuff in TANE since there are no 36 inch gauge built in routes. I will post more photos soon...

I see those engines, and can't help but think of the old Roger Miller tune:

Engine, engine number nine,
Coming down the railroad line,
I know she got on in Baltimore.
A hundred and ten miles ain't much distance
But it sure do make a diff'rence;
I don't think she loves me anymore.

Good looking engines, by the way!

Yes whitepass the York works with a little work (that texture.txt thing) not to sure about the engine spec. Looks good though :D

blue's stuff is going to take some serious work though most is Progressive Meshes. I should be able to get them working in TS12 but I'm not to optimistic about T'ANE.

Thanks!

Edit: Ah, the Traveler Coach was updated to 3.7 it looks a bit modern for this set of engines. The Lion and Thunderbold are a bit modern too. Rocket is nice though.

@ whitepass didn't you do the carriages for the B&O too? I seem to remember seeing them but I can't find them.

Hi again,

One of Gary Prices' really dirty Jubilees, Leander posing in the US. I still have not had a chance to import my UK route to TANE, especially as S&C has not been done yet. Bought this when I was using TS09.

Still looks OK though, but it does need to go through the wash.

Dave
