T:ANE (in development) screenshots...

benjamin --

On my PC T:ANE is smoother than any previous version of Trainz.

I guess by now you have seen my video in another thread? But if not this should give an idea about expected frame rates on a reasonably good PC with a reasonable graphics card.

The video was taken using FRAPS which does have some overheads, hence the occasional stutter. Without FRAPS it is much smoother.

I think this also gives a good display of the shadow and reflections in this latest Release Candidate.

The video is, as always, best watched full screen and in HD:

Note also the absence of smoke as the locomotive transits the tunnel.

If you want to try this layout, see this thread:

more shots getting a feel for panoramic views around McDonald Mnt. range on my main screenshot thread Canadian rocky Mountains 2011.

Roy;)

Is McDonald Mountain where Ronald has his secret base. He does, don't try to deny it! He keeps watch on everyone from there because he is Santa Claus.

Sometimes I feel like making stupid comments.

LMAO. Bad Santa more like it.

Uh, right then. Really liking some of the shots you guys have been sharing. Even with its current state, TANE looks amazing. Can't wait to see the final product :mop:

I'm in and about, I just tend not to say a whole lot. I tend to suffer from foot-in-mouth disease on occasion.

Sorry to hear that Austin, :( I remember your work you did back in 06 and still like to use it especially your Carnival and Trolleys/Buses. :)

Thought I would show some comparison shots of Trainz12 vs T:ANE (both on high settings) as I finally could not resist it any longer and imported my route into a completely seperate RC2 away from my original install of RC2 (for finding bugs etc). There is a small change to some of the trees and bush as I needed to replace some that were incompatible or not showing correctly. The sky is different plus the passenger carriages and a small patch of dirt added underneath the wagon. Other than that the rest is the same.
