T:ANE (in development) screenshots...

I will be uploading a video hopefully today if i have time between working, it will be of this train below [ NSWGR U Boat ] with cabin sway from the drivers view

that last shot is just beautiful. The amount of improvements in T:ANE in the past month is amazing; I look at this and I'm breathless!

Not all versions of the U Boat work in TANE.
Funny thing is the oldest version of Pete's Interburban motor car is the only motor car that works, go figure.

What errors are you getting - will look into this as it IIRC its all ok my end

Edit found the issue I think sent the fix for the TS12 version to the DLS :)

Dave i got them all working somehow using Revert Unsubmitted Edits and then looking for missing assets and downloading [ sparks ] asset then all is good.
Ill see if it works for all the B set cars and motors

Just something I have been playing about with in surveyor. Is very cool how the trees, hills etc are reflected in the water. This is in patched RC1.

Just a question, are these shots in the Release Candidates? If, so is it running smoother than CE v1.1, mine is all jerky (Shadows are off and all sliders are all the way down) and the animations are lurching and moving sporadically.
 
T:ANE gives the user the ability to be able to create a very very pictur'es route with the reflection of the landscape in the water that only add to the already beautiful creation.

No worries but there was slight opps in the config of the TS12 U power car which is now fixed

Straight Import of my TS12 WIP into T:ANE RC2. Trees have come out reasonably well all things considered!










 
The shadows are now looking good; in particular the spline shadows which seemed to be missing in earlier development.

The shadows cast by the fence posts and wires can now be seen, as well as those cast by trees and other large objects, lifting the realism by a huge factor.

There is a thread in the T:ANE forum that mentions smoke reflections on water (which is pretty cool), Im guessing there will also be shadows from smoke if there isn't already, although Im thinking, unless it is heavy smoke or steam, you're not going to see much anyway. Would that be right?
 
Not really. Smoke does cause a noticeable shadow, even when the smoke itself is almost invisible. Look at the shadow of a steaming car sitting in the sun after a rain, you can hardly see the steam rising from the hot metal but you can definitely see the shadow.
