T:ANE (in development) screenshots...

I'm not done with it by any means, I have not added cars, horses, wagons, people, clutter, more housing, etc. I have the MoW track (5th from left) but I am still not sure about the caboose track. I still need to add a water spout and cord wood fuel point to the main line (4th from left). I have altered gfisher's original yard as little as possible so the general layout is his, I just shoehorn things into it. That is why I was so happy to find mick1960's engine shed, it just barely fit and allowed me to add the heavy lift behind it. Lots of fun!

To be honest I have not really been impressed with TANE. On a 45 minute 6:00-6:45AM run down the coast of Saint Barbara Island mainly to evaluate how the ocean colors looked and to see how my haze/ambient color settings were working I fell in love.

I went through at least 6 or 7 sunrises as the sun slipped behind the mountains and back above. It was really quite pretty.

I'm still fooling with the ocean color but I've discovered that I can't just judge by the way it looks at any one time of day.

Note the shadows of the hills behind the train crawling down the hills ahead of the train. So Cool!

Dawn over a banana plantation and back lit smoke.

Note how the trees on the far hills to the right are partially lit by the rising sun

The sunlight part way down the palm trees. Note how different the ocean color is in this shot.

Taking a look at haze and water color changes over time. (the last shot above was taken at 6:45)

Note the advent of a darker blue line at the horizon.

Continued...

I am not sure what is causing the darker blue at a distance. When looking at it along the coast it looks rather odd. It is also more noticeable at a higher viewing angle.

I think I'm pretty happy with my Caribbean water. Now to figure out how to create tropical squalls. :udrool:

Ooo, Nice one Don!

This might partly explain the darker color at distances.
This is a PrintScreen paste from the clipboard saved as a jpg

This is what Tane put in the Local/Screenshots

I don't have any idea where the haze that TANE sees came from.

The top one is what you see ingame. Weird!
