Surveyor hangs

When opening my route (which I've worked on for weeks) aftes 2 seconds the surveyor freezes. Nothing happens anymore.
I tryed usen direct-x instead. Tryed to repair the database. Nothing worked. I just can't edit my route anymore.

I can still ride it. That works fine.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Which version (2009, or 2010)? If 2010, do you have the latest hot fix (over and above the latest patch)? The hotfix stops the Surveyor hanging problem.

Usually for me, that problem happens to me when the asset database is down. Try to repair the database. Also, cut down on objects that may cause lag.
