S2s and S4s were pretty common at tipples and transloading facilities in the late 60s to the early 80s. They were mostly beat up, never washed, and constantly needing paint. Might be an interesting job for someone who loves to weather skins, but it's hard to come by photos of them since active mine sites aren't exactly photographer friendly.

Few examples

How about some Milwaukee Road?

MILW S2 31 units numbered 822-852

MILW S4 34 units numbered 800-819 and 853-866

MILW S12 21 units numbered 900-914 and 920-925

MILW RS1 7 units numbered 870-874

MILW GP9 128 units numbered 200-212, 215-277, and 280-331

MILW GP20 54 units numbered 946-999. Units 982-999 had the numberboards in the nose like the WM locomotive in the Chessie 3 pack.

MILW SD40-2 90 units numbered 3000-3040 and 130-209

Just some ideas to throw out there.

How about this old Alco? Though the website says it's a RSD1, it's the export version, the RSX-1. I can confirm this because the builder's plate shows that that's its model designation. What's noticeable is that the cab is lower and the sides of the cab angle inward. They also have trucks that can be adjusted for different rail gauges. Supposedly these are the locomotives that Russia based their first road switchers on, which would eventually become the CHME3 found in Trainz 12. The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum has four of these Alcos. The two in the best condition are out of commission: one needs to be completely rewired, the other has a broken water pump.

Hey guys, REALLY appreciate all the great feedback, please keep it coming. We have new releases coming this weekend and a lot more to come after that!!

Thanks

Mike

You know, since there's already an orange SW1500 done up, I'm going to request/suggest a Camp Chase Industrial SW1500. Small line, but worth a shot!
