Surprising AI Event

I found this event surprising for the old AI.

Train coming from a portal approaching the main line.
On the main line is a train going to the portal to be consumed.
Expected cornfield meet
But
The main line train detected the newly emitted train and backed down the main line to the nearest switch to allow the new train access to the other mainline track.
The original main line train then went on to a successful consumption in the portal.:udrool:

No signals involved. I use very few due to the artificial delays created by signals.
Used mostly to sustain an imaginary railroad ambience.

Wow!

Now can this be repeated, or is this a one off event which is typical of AI being sober for at least once in a month. I'm not kidding either when I say this. I've had a great operating session one day only to be followed by totally whacky AI that can suck any air out of a balloon in an instant. Those off days are like herding a bunch of chimps and ordering them to take control!

But when these days happen, it's as if the stars have aligned and it shows that the AI can do what they are supposed to do perhaps when they haven't visited the moonshine still located down by the river in the hobo camp.

Well we know the camps are now washed away...
I did not think to retry. The sessions are 1 to 2 hours long so they get a lot of speed key (SHIFT key). But not in the presented case.
