Suggestion that older threads over 2 years old should be disabled

Recently by my own error as I did not look at the dates I posted some comments on really old threads and got accused of well thread bumping. Perhaps old posts unless they are relevant still today like UK screenshots for example be removed or disabled as they generally have no meaning after a large amount of time.

Just a thought - sometimes when searching for a kuid or bits for an asset fix, I commonly reference older threads. To take them out would destroy links and info that are still valuable. There is an archive system in use.

I personally think this should be a thread in the Suggestion Boxcar forum.

I also use threads older than 2 years, but I do think that threads that haven't had responses in more than a year should be read-only.

I agree really I do not know why my 3 comments in old threads got some angry responses really. I see your point its a valuable source of help in some situations.

Ps I was thinking of starting a thread up in the suggestion area but was not certain it would be allowed as its moderated in there.
