Geez I am dumb.

I screwed up my serial number entry. My dad owns Trainz too and I was helping him sort out his account on Planet Auran. He's 78 and not too computer savvy. Anyway, I was logged into the forum as me and clicked Serial Number on the top. It opened Planet Auran at the serial numbers screen where I put in my 3 new numbers. What I didn't realise was that I was logged into Planet Auran as my dad and now I can't assign my serials to my account!!!! I have sent a helpdesk request so hopefully it can be sorted. DO I have much hope of recitifying things? I hope so....

Cheers

Bruce,

This is a first as far as I recall, but I am quite certain it can and will be sorted out by the help desk ? Possibly take some time and possibly some follow through on your behalf.

But I am curious, you say you entered 3 numbers into your father's profile, he must have had at least one, does this mean he has at least four now and there must be duplicates as far as versions ?
Might even be a first for the Auran Team ?

I must agree, "Geez" :) ! ---DLR

Yea, I know - really, really dumb thing to do.

Dad didn't have any serials registered, that's what I was checking. For some reason Planet Auran didn't log me out when I exited, even though I said one time only. So when I clicked the Serial link from within my account, I didn't realise it was his until I checked the User ID. I thought about just registering his serials on my account but then everything would be out of whack.

I know I should've checked better but we have a family member in hospital at the moment and I wasn't thnking straight.

I am now desperate for help if I can get it.

I received a reply from the help desk but it was a standard boilerplate reply probably from some automated system. I replied to that email only to be told it is not monitored and directing me back to the helpdesk address.

I can see this going round and round in circles and getting nowhere. Can anyone tell me what my options are or do I have to illegally use someone else's login to do what I need to do. I hate that idea and just want to be legal.

Yes, I admit I did a dumb thing but Planet Auran didn't help any by showing *who* was actually logged in, it just blindly accepted the entered serials.

Please, please can someone point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Can someone please delete the above post. I have received a message from Helpdesk and they have supplied new no's. This was in the Helpdesk bit, not via email.

Thanks guys

Cheers
