strange error

The GPU fan sped up because it overheated. The GPU overheated because it is faulty. By design, GPU's shut themselves down when they get too warm. That has little or no bearing on the internal case temperature.

i continouly moniter my gpu temps and max i see are 54 while playing max payne 3 on ultra high settings else it remains in 40 so how can you say gpu is over heating.if it does with all games then i think that some thing is wrong with hardware

The fans speed up because the gpu or cpu is working hard thus heating up, they are bringing the temperature back down to stop damage.
If either stop (your cpu) the system will shut down within seconds.

well few days back i installed win 8 and my game is running fine so it proved its a software issue not a hardware

That's awesome, Kamran.

This most likely was a driver issue which can cause problems like this.

Thank you for the update.

yes bcz from the first day of release of nvidia driver i noticed reduce performence of my gpu especially in trainz but i keep it going atlast that reduction in performence shows his own and lead to no performence.but i am switching back to win 7 bcz i dont like win 8 so there might be chance that the issue arise again but i decided to change my gpu too

There's no need to switch back to Win7.

I use this to access the desktop.

Classic 8 start menu. :)

http://www.classicstart8.com/

It puts everything back in desktop mode that you'll need. :)
