strange cursor in 2009 surveyor

Hey all,

I have strange cursor behavior in surveyor 2009, while trying to adjust the height of the terrain.
The cursor has appeared as a square instead of the usual circle, and there does not seem to be any way to change it back to the circle.
This is on a new project, existing projects are showing the circle.

Thank, Alex.

Alex, I have this problem aswell. When you are flattening terrain, does it change? If so, the only way to make it go away, is to back out of the map, and re-load it. It's some weird glitch that hasn't/wasn't fixed in any of the patchs for 09.

Take care,

i run that version and its never happened to me. if what buffalo trains 93 said doesn't work, try going into more and see if anything there is clicked. if so, that might be your problem.

The problem goes away, as you suggested, by exiting and reloading the map, and yes, the terrain does change, but depending on the sensitivity setting, from small hillocks to large peaks, closely spaced,

Thanks Alex,

I had just used the terrain displacement map to give me some hills, and at first I thought that it may have still been active, but no amount of clicking the icons would return the cursor to the circle.
As I mentioned in the other reply, exiting and reloading solved it. (for now????)

Cheers, Alex.
