So I downloaded two steam engines off the download station. one being DRG_4-4-0 and the other being a DRGW c-19 but both of them when i go into cab control mode they have the diesel controls, like dynamic breaking and not the steam ones. Is there a way to fix this? and How?

i have tried it all
changing the spec and sounds in cmp
and in explorer
changing the cab as well
so what else is there to try?

How old are the locos, locos pre sp4 2004 will drive like a Diesel as there were no steam loco control then all locos were driven like a Diesel
What i am having trouble with are the following. I have not tried anything yet to fix them, manly because I do not know how or what to do, the locos work find in DDC mode but not in cab mode.

Ed the loco is set up with a diesel (kind engine) enginespec so it is controlled like a diesel loco in driver as your screen shots show.
What determines whether it drives like a diesel or steam loco is the engine espec. Steam locos use kind steam-engine especs and diesel use kind engine especs.
For the loco to drive like a steam loco you have to edit the loco's config file and change the espec reference to a kind steam-engine espec and change the interior to reference a cab that has working steam cab controls modeled in it.
Some additional items that may require changing are the enginesound reference and the hornsound reference. Also the main drive wheel bogey config needs a direct-drive 1 tag.
For the tender you need to add load-coal and load-water queues and a tender 1 tag to the tender config. Additional consideration for the tender is a no unload script to keep it from dumping coal.
